Our Funders

dfwIDEA is possible because of the generous support of our funders. Without them, the day to day operation of dfwIDEA would not be possible.

Founding Funders

dfwIDEA was created with the generous support of The Dallas Foundation and The Hoblitzelle Foundation in Dallas, Texas. Their gifts funded the initial software development, data research, and year-long community efforts needed to launch dfwIDEA for the North Texas community.

Continuing Support

While the initial construction costs of dfwIDEA were underwritten by the foundations named above, we are currently identifying sources of continuing support. In addition to the operation and staff costs of finding and maintaining the systems and data, continuing support makes our training and outreach programs possible. These programs are core to making the data and information in dfwIDEA a spark for social change.

In-Kind and Colocation Support

Our In-Kind and Colocation supporters provide a variety of goods and services that allow us to direct more of our philanthropic support toward programming. The Foundation for Community Empowerment generously provides the web server and bandwidth required to make dfwIDEA so widely accessible.

Funding Opportunities

There are many opportunities to support dfwIDEA. You can...

  • Volunteer as a trainer;
  • Become a data partner;
  • Become a content partner;
  • Sponsor a challenge point;
  • Adopt an indicator; or,
  • Make a gift!
